The Philippines has secured another accolade as TNT, the mobile network, clinched the Guinness World Record for the Longest Travel Livestream, spanning over 26 hours and traversing 75 kilometers from Bustos, Bulacan, to Rizal Park in Manila. This achievement was part of the Petmaloop Challenge initiated by TNT, which invited content creators to showcase the highlights of their hometowns that bring them joy on the social media platform TikTok. A total of 33 content creators responded to the challenge, commencing on November 4, 2023, in Davao City, and journeying through major cities and provinces in Mindanao, the Visayas, and Luzon. To establish the Guinness World Record for the Longest Travel Livestream, the content creators elevated the Petmaloop Challenge by livestreaming their expedition from Bulacan to Manila without interruption. Guinness World Records’ official adjudicator, Fumika Fujibuchi, confirmed that the uninterrupted live-streamed travel video persisted for an impressive 26 hours, 15 minutes, and 29 seconds. TNT’s Petmaloop Challenge not only surpassed the minimum requirement but also adhered to other criteria set by Guinness World Records. These criteria included focusing on real-time travel experiences, highlighting the significance of sites and cultural locations, ensuring accessibility to the live stream for the entire public throughout the attempt, and allowing the live stream to occur at multiple venues with no gaps or interruptions.
